Dubai 30 August 2006: One more time Sahary Gate House, in the old heritage area Bastakia, is supporting a most talented new artist in exhibiting the gorgeous paintings of Ghulam Farooq, born in Okara, Pakistan. From 2 September to 2 October interested connoisseurs and laymen will be able to admire the art work of this promising new painter at the Sahary Gate office, Bastakia House No.14, Bur Dubai.
A total of 14 paintings, varying in size and price (from 2750 AED to 3250 AED), will be available to buy and gaze at from the exhibition’s opening on 2 September at 7:00 pm. The theme of the exhibition can be described as the artist’s impressions of oriental landscapes, symbols and characteristic elements of architecture.
Ghulam Farooq is a self-taught artist born at Okara in 1967. He participated in many art competitions and was awarded first prize two times within only three years. His last exhibition could be seen at the Expo 2006 which was initiated under the patronage of the Majmua Art Gallery. |
